Der Konzern IBM hat eine Blogging-Richtlinie für seine Mitarbeiter herausgegeben. Darin wird den Angestellten des Unternehmens ausdrücklich erlaubt, Netz-Tagebücher zu führen.

Bereits seit Jahren schreiben auch IBM-Mitarbeiter private Blogs, oftmals unter Pseudonymen, der Konzern duldete dies. Nun will IBM auch offiziell klarstellen, wie die Mitarbeiter bloggen können und sollen. (Quelle: N24.de)

A non-partisan investigation headed by Fabrice Florin is now working on a practical solution to those issues. Code-named NewsTrust, our proposed citizen news rating service aims to bring together experienced journalists and volunteer reviewers to rate news stories and their sources according to rigorous editorial standards—leveraging online technology to identify high-quality journalism, or "news you can trust."

Immerhin jeder vierte deutsche Internet-User (27%) weiß, was man unter dem Begriff Weblog beziehungsweise Blog versteht. 41% dieser Gruppe lesen regelmäßig Weblogs − also insgesamt jeder Zehnte. 4% schreiben eigene Blogs und 8% haben bereits konkrete Pläne, ein eigenes Weblog zu starten. Beruflich nutzen nur 1% das Medium.
