Der im Exil in Indien lebende Dalai Lama wirbt seit Sonntag auf einer eigenen Internetseite für den Weltfrieden. Die Website wurde zum internationalen Tag der Menschenrechte freigeschaltet. Sie solle nicht das Oberhaupt der tibetischen Buddhisten persönlich würdigen, sondern seine Botschaft von «Liebe, Frieden sowie Mitgefühl und universeller Verantwortung» verbreiten. Ab sofort ist seine Heiligkeit also auch per E-Mail erreichbar.

Der Auftritt des Dalai Lama ist unter http://www.dalailama.com, jener der tibetanische Exil-Regierung unter http://www.tibet.net abrufbar.

Cybi hat sich bei Clipmarks einen Account angelacht - so weit, so gut.



Nur klappt das mit dem Einbinden des Clipmark-Icons in den Browser aber gar nicht,...weder im Firefox (kein Icon unter Symbolleiste anpassen) und im IE funzt es leider auch nicht. (Kein "Clipmarks" zum Checken).

Auch mit Hilfe der FAQ nicht besser.

Hat jemand eventuell eine Idee,.....irgendwie steh ich auf der Leitung...

Die EIAA präsentiert eine neue Studie zum Internetgebrauch in Europa:

Die EIAA Studie zeigt, dass die Onliner Innovationen, vor allem neue Technologien und Services, im Internet schnell annehmen. Die zunehmende Verbreitung von Breitband-Zugängen in Europa lässt die Konsumenten zunehmend diese technologischen Fortschritte nutzen. So laden 29 Prozent der Befragten mindestens einmal im Monat von Download-Plattformen Musik aus dem Internet.

Blogging hat mit 13 Prozent ebenfalls an Popularität gewonnen. 12 Prozent der Nutzer laden wiederum mindestens einmal im Monat Podcasts aus dem Internet. Sogar neue Technologien wie Voice over IP (VoIP), das Telefonieren über das Internet, sind sehr beliebt: Bereits 10 Prozent der europäischen Konsumenten nutzen VoIP-Services, um online zu telefonieren.

THE CIA now has its own bloggers. In a bow to the rise of internet-era secrets hidden in plain view, the agency has started hosting weblogs with the latest information on topics including North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il's public visit to a military installation (his 38th this year) and the Burmese media's silence on a ministry reshuffle. It even has a blog on blogs, dedicated to finding useful information in the rapidly expanding milieu of online journals and weird electronic memorabilia on the net.

The blogs are posted on an unclassified, government-wide website, part of a rechristened CIA office for monitoring, translating and analysing publicly available information, called the DNI Open Source Centre. The centre, which made its debut this month, marks the latest wave of reorganisation in response to the failures of intelligence collection before the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Analysis of those failures pointed to insufficient efforts to tap into the huge realm of information on the internet, as well as a climate of disdain for such information among spy agencies. "There are still people who believe if it's not top secret it's not worth reading," says an outside expert who works with government intelligence agencies.
