Die Rettung der US-Soldatin Jessica Lynch scheint doch keine eifach-heroische Nacht-und-Nebel-Aktion a la Hollywood gewesen zu sein. (Na sowas aber auch ...)

An Gerüchten, Falschinformationen oder Propaganda herrscht seit dem 11.9. kein Mangel. Ein guter Teil stammt auch aus offiziellen Kanälen der britischen und amerikanischen Regierungen und ihren Geheimdiensten, die auch nicht davor zurückscheuten, beispielsweise gefälschte Beweise für die angebliche Massenvernichtungswaffen im Irak zu verwenden. Zahllose falsche oder irreführende Meldungen gab es auch im Krieg gegen den Irak. Jetzt scheint auch eine Episode, die eigentlich für den Krieg nebensächlich war, aber ein großes Medienecho in den USA gefunden hat, zunächst vom Pentagon gut frisiert dargestellt worden zu sein: die Befreiung der jungen und hübschen Jessica Lynch aus der Hand der bösen Iraker. Das verwundert nicht weiter, lässt aber die Glaubwürdigkeit noch ein Stück weiter sinken, wenn die US-Regierung und das Weiße Haus tatsächlich mehr auf strategische Kommunikation(sverfäschung) oder Psychologische Operationen als auf Wahrheit setzen - und dabei systematisch eben auch die "freien" Medien, die das eigentlich wissen sollten, und die US-Bevölkerung täuschen.

Und als ob man das nicht auch erwartet hätte: Der Fernsehsender NBC will tatsächlich die Rettung der U.S.-Soldatin verfilmen. Das berichtet Die Welt.

Derweil fragt man sich bei Slate, ob Jessica denn überhaupt die Filmrechte ihrer eigenen Lebensgeschichte besitzt ...

... und natürlich welche Version von Hollywood verfilmt wird,...die echte oder die echte .. *smile*
